Expertise

What we build, and how we think about it

Four kinds of work, each shaped by the same conviction: knowledge of every phase of the industry — site, design, financing, budgeting, purchasing and construction — is what separates success from failure.

01

Custom Homes

A home designed around the site and the people who will live in it.

Diamond Brothers builds custom residences across a wide range of scale and style — homes from 2,200 to 24,000 square feet, from Mediterranean courtyards to coastal and contemporary forms. Whether you arrive with an architect and a set of drawings, or with a piece of land and an idea, the work begins by understanding how you want to live and what the site will allow.

  • Site selection and evaluation before design begins
  • Conceptual and architectural design coordination
  • Budgeting and purchasing managed as part of the design, not after it
  • Construction kept uncomplicated and straightforward

Waterfront Residences

Oceanfront and Intracoastal homes are a discipline of their own.

Since the late 1990s the firm has developed and built on the ocean and the Intracoastal Waterway — acquiring estate properties, obtaining entitlements and delivering residences planned around the water. Coastal construction brings its own questions: orientation and exposure, seawalls and docks, elevation and the durability of every exterior material. These are addressed from the first site visit, not discovered on site.

  • Oceanfront and Intracoastal estate lots, including point lots
  • Site design and entitlements for waterfront parcels
  • Residences delivered from $3.2M to $16M
  • Pools, terraces and docks planned with the house, not after it

Renovations

Significant renovations of homes — and of buildings a century old.

Renovation asks a builder to understand what is already there before changing it. The family's experience ranges from the redevelopment of the Sears Crescent in downtown Boston to four abandoned Palatka buildings dating from 1885 to 1916, returned to use as shops, offices and student housing. The same care applies to a significant residential renovation: a clear scope, an honest budget and a plan that respects the existing structure.

  • Whole-house and major residential renovations
  • Adaptive reuse of historic and commercial buildings
  • Scope, budget and phasing established before work begins
  • Construction that keeps the existing building’s character

Development & Mixed Use

Land, communities, urban infill and the revitalization of downtowns.

Diamond Brothers and its family firms have developed thousands of acres and numerous subdivisions — planned communities that combine housing, recreation and open space — alongside urban infill and mixed-use buildings in the heart of established towns. The firm has worked with private partners and with municipalities, including the City of Palatka on the St. Johns River Education Center.

  • Land acquisition, site design and entitlements
  • Planned and country club communities
  • Urban infill, single- and multi-family development
  • Mixed-use buildings for downtown revitalization, with public and private partners
